“ First off, what a pretty restaurant! Love the underwater vibes. My friend and I went for lunch on Saturday and were greeted the moment we walked thru the front vestibule. I cant remember our servers name, but he was extremely efficient and friendly. We started with hush puppies, lobster rangoon, crab cakes and a couple blue point oysters. All were very good. I think the lobster rangoon were my favorite, and the crab cakes a very close second. They were loaded up with lump crab. Those hushpuppies shouldnt be slept on, tho! Hot and crispy, perfect with the red pepper jam. We shared a blackened shrimp poboy for our main course. The seasoning was good, but could have used just a bit more of a kick. The homemade chips had a salt and vinegar seasoning that was very good. It was not a cheap meal but overall, it was really good food with wonderful service. We will definitely be back. ”

“ Wow!! What an amazing experience! This place is really lovely. I have been afraid to eat seafood in KC other than catfish or local fare since there is no ocean nearby. Aqua Pennys is FANTASTIC!! We had the lobster Rangoon appetizer, a cup of gumbo and we shared the Seafood Pad Thai with shrimp, squid and bay scallops. It was truly delicious! They fly in their seafood. Penny makes sure its fresh. Our server, Christina was just perfect. You should ask for her. She brought me a Thai spice tray with jalapenos, dry Thai spices, red pepper paste and spicy fish sauce with peppers. I was able to spice mine up and my wife kept hers medium as ordered. For dessert we had the pistachio cake with the poached pear, a nice gluten free option. My wife and I will be back. ”

“ Aqua pennys is genuinely the most amazing dinner spot in Kansas. Ive never been more satisfied by every aspect of a dinner, the service is impeccable. My boyfriend and I have gone twice for our anniversary and the first time we had Cody as a server, AMAZING SERVER BY THE WAY!!!! So obviously we had to request Cody as our server second time around. He not only is so social but hes so helpful with the menu and knows details inside and out about every entree, starter, drinks and dessert. If youre wondering what to get, trust Codys insight!!! Trust me!!! And him!!! Now for the food, oh my lord, so amazing. Im so full and my mouth is still watering thinking about it. Their mussels are to DIE FOR!!!!! The oysters are shucked then and there and come with the most amazing toppings, dont miss out on their spicy house sauce, your taste buds will be thanking you later. The atmosphere is just beautiful, weve eaten both inside and outside and both are just amazing. The ceilings inside are so cool and the tables and chairs are so comfortable. The lighting is so cool. The patio is beautiful. Theres so many beautiful plants everywhere, inside and out, the view just tops everything off. To make this restaurant the best in Kansas in my opinion and I LOVE food and LOVE going out to eat. Cody will forever be our server we come back to see and he keeps us coming back every time. The experiences get better and better. We got a flower in a vase and a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which just made the experience so much more personal.
